Sacramental Programme: This Sunday our children continue their preparation after the 10am Mass. Please move down to the crypt for refreshments immediately after Mass. Deanery Lenten Reconciliation Service and Mass: There will be a Deanery Lenten Reconciliation Service followed by Mass at Sacred Heart, Loughborough on Thursday, 30th March, beginning at 6pm with opportunity for Confession, including Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and followed by Mass at 7.00pm. Please do put the date in your diary and make every effort to come along, joining with our wider family in the Church as part of Loughborough Deanery this Lent. A Retreat with a Difference: A Foyer de Charité Retreat will be held at the new Retreat Centre in Walsingham, from Sunday 30 April (6pm) – Saturday 6 May (2pm). If you are a taxpayer and have not yet signed up for Gift Aid, there are some blue forms at the back of Church to request a Gift Aid Declaration form together with a Standing Order form or envelopes. Thanks to all who contribute in this way. Conversely, if you have previously signed a Gift Aid Declaration and no longer pay tax you need to let us know: you can use the same form for this. The Leicestershire and Rutland partnership has released a draft plan called the Sustainability Transformation Plan which lays out proposals for better integration of both aspects of care and the saving of some £300 million by 2020. Many of the proposals will focus on the delivery of care and treatment in the community, preferably in patients’ homes. A meeting to explore these proposals will take place on Thursday 30 March at the Lyric Rooms at 6pm. We are a small group who gather together to pray for our children, grandchildren and all children throughout the world. All ladies are most welcome to join us. The Financial Year is drawing to a close. We are seeking someone to audit our parish accounts. We need somebody who is or who has been an accountant, auditor, solicitor, bank manager, or who has similar financial qualifications. Please remember to put your clocks forward an hour on Saturday night, or you will be very late for Mass on Sunday!

Refreshments: Coffee and tea are available in the crypt after the 10am Sunday Mass and the 9.30am Mass on Wednesdays at Ashby, and after the Saturday evening Mass at Measham on the first Saturday of each month. Please stay for a chat and an opportunity to meet fellow parishioners and visitors alike. New parishioners: If you have recently moved into our parish or your address/contact details have changed, please complete a pale blue forms on the stand (near the newsletters at the back of Church) and pop it through the presbytery letterbox. The Ashby Foodbank: Donations of dried/canned items can be put in the foodbank box at the back of the church. They are dropped off at the foodbank depot on a regular basis. Invitation to pray the Rosary: On Tuesday after the 9.30am Mass (about 10am) we pray the Rosary for priests and on Friday after the 9.30am Mass we pray the Rosary for peace. Please join us. Missio and Faith in Families boxes: These can be returned to church to be collected at any time. Please remember to look for your box at the back of Church once it has been emptied. This greatly increases the value of your giving at no cost to you. If you pay Income Tax and haven’t yet signed one, please ask for a form. If you have signed a declaration and no longer pay Income Tax it is vital that you tell us. There is a form at the back of the Churches for you to let us know if you would like to Gift Aid, or if you need to stop because you no longer pay tax. You can also use the form to ask us for more information. Mass Envelopes are at the back of church or sacristy to fill in the details. Please always use one of these envelopes to request a Mass as it ensures Fr Colin has the necessary details. The Diocesan recommended offering is £10 a Mass or whatever is affordable. Please put completed envelopes through presbytery letter box. Drop in to St Charles: On Tuesday afternoons during term time, St Charles’ Church is open and light refreshments available from 2.30pm until it’s time to meet children from school.
