(Part-Time) Operations Manager Los Pleneros de la 21 (LP21), New York’s Bomba and Plena Ambassadors to the World, and a pioneer US-based Latino cultural arts organizations, is looking for an energetic, highly motivated, visionary and dynamic leader to take on the new position of part-time Operations Manager (OM). The OM will handle high-level administrative functions and will work in direct partnership with LP21’s core leadership, through a guided long-term organizational restructuring and leadership growth project. S/he will be instrumental to informing and expanding LP21’s strategic direction while also managing daily operations. The OM will oversee aspects of LP21’s finances, operations, human resources, and resource development. Primary responsibilities include: Financial management and bookkeeping ● Track donations and expenditures, and produce financial/QuickBooks reports ● Help represent LP21 to funders, media, agencies, organizations, and the general public ● With Executive Director, draft and manage annual budgets, operations and program budgets ● Serve as a management/billing liaison for service providers/vendors ● Manage A/P and A/R, including payroll and payment to artists/independent contractors ● With CPA, manage annual Audits, Nonprofit certifications, 990’s and quarterly payroll reporting ● Manage/maintain Insurance plans and benefit accounts. ● Oversee staff time-keeping, vacations, benefits tracking and reporting. Leadership Development/Office Management ● Manage human resources, staff management, evaluations/assessments ● Manage recruitment, staff onboarding ● Expand and manage volunteer and internship opportunities ● Oversee current administrative platforms, IT systems, and develop/expand these systems as necessary Resource Development and Fundraising ● Maintain a working knowledge of significant policy developments and funding trends in the field ● Support ED in providing grant report documentation and managing reporting deadlines ● Track/report program impacts (audience metrics and profit/loss reports) ● In conjunction with the Board, assist with fundraising events/activities ● Help represent LP21 to funders, media, agencies, organizations, and the general public Other responsibilities as assigned. Desired qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree required, MS/MPA a plus ● Bilingual Spanish, English ● Knowledge of the Latino Arts and Culture climate in the United States ● Five years’ relevant/related experience in nonprofit organizations, preferably in arts/cultural organizations. ● Ability to build relationships and interact with diverse range of stakeholders ● Proven organizational, multitasking, project and management skills ● Ability to work as both an independent manager and a team member ● Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills ● Proven time management and multi-tasking skills, prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously ● Tech savvy and proficient in QuickBooks, MS Office Suite, Google Apps, and database software/systems ● Experience conducting fundraising and grant-writing activities Compensation: Commensurate with Experience, partial health benefits covered.
