Total Units (Minimum) 23 Students planning to enter or transfer into a University System of Georgia institution must take two units of the same foreign language.

High school level students will take an EOC assessment in the following ten courses:
Language Arts Ninth Grade Literature and Composition American Literature and Composition Mathematics Algebra I or Coordinate Algebra Geometry or Analytic Geometry Science Biology Physical Science Social Studies United States History
The End-of-Course Assessments are administered at the completion of the course, regardless of the grade level. These measures serve as the final exam for the course and contribute 20% to the final course grade. For the 2016-17 school year, GA Milestones will be administered from April 24th-May 4th.

The progress of high school students is gauged through a variety of assessments. Some of those assessments are school wide measures and some are required by the State of Georgia. Below is a list of assessments your child will be given throughout the school year.
The graduation rule was revised in conjunction with the implementation of the Georgia Standards of Excellence in LA/English and Mathematics and the Georgia Performance Standards in Science and Social Studies, as well as electives. The new curriculum and graduation requirements will help students graduate from high school with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in college and the workplace. Retention will be based on students overall credit count.
