Mindanao Wide IT Olympiad SY ’16-17 InfoGRAPHICS General Guidelines Date and Venue The date of the InfoGraphics Contest will be on February 16, 2017, 9:00AM-11:00AM, at the University of the Immaculate Conception, Fr. Selga St., Davao City. Team Composition Each school is allowed to send two (2) teams, must be composed of two(2) ITE undergraduate students . The participant/s should be currently enrolled as certified by the ITE Dean. A participant of the InfoGRAPHICS Contest must not be a contestant of other IT Olympiad events. CONTEST DETAILS Overview This is an on-the-spot individual competition which aims to enhance the creativity and skills of students in conceptualizing and manipulating images to express a new concept, to describe an idea, or to illustrate something, given a particular THEME.
Working Environment Each participant will use a single workstation. The workstations are installed with Adobe Photoshop, as the primary software to be used for the contest. Participants, however, are not limited to use other available software that is installed in the assigned PCs.
Conduct 1. This is an individual on-the-spot competition. 2. Each school can have a maximum of two(2) participants. 3. Participants must be pre-registered into the competition and are currently enrolled this second semester, school year 2016-2017, taking up an ITE course. 4. Each participant can submit only one entry (raw <.psd> and jpeg format) and it must be accompanied with a one-paragraph brief narrative that explains the concept. 5. Participants shall use Adobe Photoshop as main editing software. 6. Participants shall be provided with a set of image files which they can use to create a new image based on a given theme.
7. Registration of participants will start at 8:00AM and they are required to present their current school Identification Card upon registration. 8. The contest proper will start at exactly 9:00 AM. Participants are given 2 hours to finish their entry. Only the technical staff and participants are allowed inside the Computer Laboratory assigned as venue at the University of the Immaculate Conception- Father Selga Street, Davao City. 9. Participants are not allowed to interact with each other and shall observe silence the entire duration of the competition. Scoring of the Contest

Coaches and organizers have no participation into any discussion or correspondence on judges' decisions.
