MINISTRY ORDER NO. 4 / -83 Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 1258 of the office of the President dated March 29, 1983, requiring the attendance and urging the participation of government officials and employees within the Metropolitan Manila Area in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1983 Inter-Department (Ministry) Employees Athletic League's (IDEAL) 10th Athletic Season on Thursday, April 14, 1983 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rizal Memorial Track and Field Stadium, Manila, and in line with the President's continuing sports development program as a vehicle to enhance a physically and mentally strong citizenry, heads of bureaus/ offices comprising the Ministry are hereby enjoined to authorize as many employees as may be excused on official time to attend the aforementioned kick-off ceremonies. Participating athletes, officials of the league as well as employees shall be entitled to the necessary transportation expenses and reasonable allowances not exceeding ?40.00 per playing day (practice days included) based on actual participation in the various sports events in the current and forthcoming athletic years, chargeable against the funds of their respective bureaus/offices subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and. auditing requirements. To reduce the expenses to the minimum, the Ministry shall participate only on selected events to be determined by the Chairman, MOF Sports Coordinating Committee and no uniform shall be issued but instead the officials and athletes selected to represent the Ministry in this year's IDEAL Sports Tournament may use the uniforms issued to them by their respective bureaus/offices during the 1982 MOF Inter-Agency Sports Tournament. Heads of bureaus/offices are likewise requested to give full support and assistance to all the members of the Ministry of Finance Athletic Teams to the 1983 IDEAL Sports Tournament. This Order shall take effect immediately.
