Authorizing the holdinir. of the 1980 Inter-Agency marts Tournament of the Ministry of Finance
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 1130 of the Office of the President requiring all government agencies to institute and implement a continuing sports and physical fitness program for their officials and employees, in relation to Section's'29 and 34 of the Civil Service Decree of the Philippines, as amended, and in order to bring about a healthy atmosphere and spirit of togetherness and camaraderie among the personnel of the bureaus/ agencies comprising the Ministry of Finance, the holding of
the 1980 INTER-AGENCY SPORTS TOURNAK:NNT to be hosted by the Insurance Commission is hereby authorized. The Executive Committee to be headed by the OVERALL Coordinator designated by the host bureau and composed of representatives from each of the participating agency is hereby created. It shall act as the implementing and coordinating arm of the MOF Sports Coordinating Committee. Participation in the tournament as well as in the Opening Ceremonies shall be on official time and the participants including tournament officials thereof entitled to transportation expenses and reasonable allowances as allowed participating athletes to the 1980 IDEAL Sports Tournament, chargeable against the appropriations of the respective agencies, subject to availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements. Participating athletes shall be allowed to practice on official time twice a week for not more than one (1) month:iemnediately preceding their scheduled games. The events, including practice games, however, shall be scheduled in such a way as to, ensure the least disruption of the normal work of the office,or its'urii:t thereof. The uniforms of the athletes and participants`in the` "Walkathon," which will precede the Opening Ceremonies on September 20, 1980, shall be limited as far as-practicable to T-shirts, round neck, white, in accordance with the design prepared by the Executive Committee and approved by the MOP Sports Coordinating Committee.

Heads of bureaus/offices are requested to extend full cooperation to the MOP Sports Coordinating Comrittee, and/or the host bureau to ensure success in this year's tournament, In the furtherance of its assigned task,. the MOP Sports Coordinating Committees or the host bureau may enlist the services or assistance of any official or employee of the Ministry, or create tournament comTittee to promulgate rules and regulations for the orderly conduct of the sports events,
This Order shall take effect imzediately and all concerned guided accordingly,
