MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Regarding Contract Extension

The University of Akron (the "University") and The American Association of University Professors -- University of Akron Chapter (the "Akron-AA UP") agree to extend the current collective bargaining agreement (effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015) on a day to day basis, subject to termination by either party upon thirty (30) calendar days' written notice to the other party. Any compensation increases agreed upon pursuant to the reopener provided for by Article 16, Section 2 and Article 33 Section 1 shall be retroactive to July l, 2014. Any compensation increases agreed to pursuant to the upcoming contract negotiations shall be effective retroactive to July 1, 2015.
