i) Annual Chipping Event: Benton County and The Oregon Dept. of Forestry (DOF) will be coordinating our annual spring chipping event again this year. This is a perfect opportunity to clean up the community for spring and begin preparations for wildfire season. Tall grass, tall brush and dead/down tree limbs and dead vegetation that are the driving forces behind wildfire will be removed in order to mitigate the negative effects of wildfire. Cyrus will contact the DOF and communicate MRE’s interest in participating in this free chipping event, by Friday March 18th. More information will be shared with the community by DOF. The tentative date for the chipping event is between May 2nd- May 12th.
7. Adjournment: Hearing no further business, the president adjourned the meeting at 9:00 PM. 8. Next Annual Meeting: January 17, 2017
