Reminders & Shoutouts *A BIG thank you to the wonderful parent helpers who made our Halloween Party Day a success. A great time was had by all. *As the weather becomes colder, please be sure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing for recess. Coats, hats, and gloves are becoming necessary with these cooler fall days. *Please be sure to empty your child’s red folder each night. Carrying around too many extra papers can make it harder for your child to stay organized. Also be sure to check folders for math and SFA homework nightly. Be sure to initial your student’s behavior

Academics:
November 2017
SFA: Please check the weekly newsletter from your child’s SFA teacher for reading class updates.
Math: In November, we will begin working on Module 2 in our math series. The family newsletter will be coming home soon with more information.
Humanities: Our Humanities class continues to learn about nouns. We are learning about common and proper nouns, and singular and plural nouns. We continue to improve on our writing skills as well. Students are learning to write neatly with spaces in between their words, and to use capital letters and punctuation marks correctly. We are also learning about Veteran’s Day, and soon will study the history and traditions associated with Thanksgiving.
Science: Our Science class continues our study of the states of matter. Right now, we are focusing on the properties of matter, and soon we will learn about how matter changes forms.
