Our Mission

Who We Are

At Nature’s Crossroads, our mission is to rebuild the supply of locally grown, locally adapted, Earth-friendly seeds for farmers and gardeners in Indiana and surrounding states. We are working to build a network of seed savers as well as a community of organic gardeners and farmers to turn those seeds into food for their families and communities. Our belief is that gardening is a great way to improve the environment, beautify our homes, get some exercise, and play in the dirt while providing healthy food for our families.

We are an organic seed company based in Bloomington, Indiana dedicated to providing high quality Earth-friendly vegetable, herb, fruit, and flower seeds for the Midwest gardener. We test all our varieties at our sister farm, LIFE Certified Organic Farm in Morgan County (www.lifefarmcsa.com), to ensure that they grow well in the Midwest climate. LIFE also grows a selection of our seeds along with several other farmers and gardeners in Indiana and surrounding states.

Your support enables us to:

More Than Just Seeds

In addition to selling seeds, we give back to the community through school fundraisers, educational programs for gardeners, garden sponsorships, and much more. Visit our website to learn more about our support for gardeners or to place a seed order. We are passionate about organic gardening and hope you love our seeds!

Natures’s Crossroads Planting Chart Planting charts are one of the most powerful tools any gardener can posess. Planting charts provide a strategy for getting the most out of your garden over the entirety of the season. This means not only planting well in the spring, but throughout the year with succession crops and another big planting in the fall. Our planting chart provides suggested planting dates for most of our seed types and will help to ensure you have a bountiful season.
