Niles Township Nighthawks Hockey Club

The time has come to return to the tradition and pride of skating for your school. Now it’s your turn to don the black and gold of NIGHTHAWKS HOCKEY and be part of something big! The NIGHTHAWKS are open to all players who will be attending Niles North, Niles West, Ida Crown Jewish Academy, and Chicago Jewish High School for the 2015/2016 school year, are currently in 8th grade and will be an entering freshman, or current students of either of those schools. (Note: Under new AHAI guidelines, graduating 2015 seniors are ineligible to play.)

The NIGHTHAWKS will be playing in the NORTH SUBURBAN SPRING HOCKEY LEAGUE, in both the varsity and junior varsity divisions, skating out of the Skokie Skatium and The American Heartland Ice Arena in Lincolnwood. There will be at least 8 regular season games, and 10 practices. The season will run from April 1st through May 31st.

THE NIGHTHAWKS SIXTH ANNUAL BIG SKATE open skate for future, current, and alumni of the Nighthawks, and former Niles Township High School teams will take place on Saturday, March 7th, 7:25 PM, at the Skokie Skatium. This would be a good time for all prospective players to come out, meet the coaches and current players, and get a taste of Nighthawk Hockey. Dinner and refreshments will be served afterword. (Full equipment is mandatory.) Details of the evening can be found at our website. Player evaluations will be held at the Skokie Skatium, Saturday, March 21st, from 9:05 PM to 10:35 PM, and, Wednesday March 25th, from 7:45 PM until 9:15 PM. The fee for the evaluations is $100.00 per player. Goalies are $50.00. Spring League fees will be $600.00 per player and $300.00 for goalies. Evaluation fees will be applied to the player’s spring fees upon application to the team. It is strongly encouraged that all prospective players attend all sessions.
