If the student applying for admission is entering grade 11 and is seeking to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Candidate, s/he must have successfully completed the following courses by the end of grade 10: 1) Biology 2) Geometry 3) Three (3) years of a World Language In addition, the student seeking admission must submit a short essay (no more than 500 words, double spaced) to be attached to this application reflecting on how they represent the ideals of the IB learner profile outlined below: IB Learner Profile Inquirers: They develop the natural curiosity. Criteria/Conditions of Enrollment 1. Acceptance is subject to review yearly with the assumption that enrollment will ordinarily be continuous through the grade levels. However, the Bedford School District reserves the right to change its programming from year to year. 2. Enrollment is contingent upon “good standing status” in the previous school district. The Bedford School District will not accept students who have been recently suspended or expelled from their school district. 3. The school district reserves the right to deny admission or rescind enrollment to students who are consistently tardy, absent, disruptive or have a history of disrupting the learning environment. 4. Enrollment is based in part on the seats/space available in the appropriate Bedford school. 5. There is no sibling(s) preference given for families applying in subsequent years.
