Fun Filled Activities - Nursery 1. Theme:- Blow bubbles • Materials:- Bubble bottles or Soapy water • Instructions:- Blowing bubbles is a tricky skill for preschoolers to master. So let them blow bubbles and have fun. 2. Theme:- Treasure Hunt Game • Materials: - Small toys, books etc. • Instructions: - Hide different objects like small toys, books, or any other object around the house. Give your child clues or draw a map that leads to the treasure. 3. Theme:- Go for a nature walk • Instructions:- Go with your child for a nature walk. Your child will love exploring the beautiful collection of nature. Make them see the colours, shapes and meanings of objects like leaves, trees, sun, flowers, etc. It can be a good communication activity for your child. 4. Theme;- Sponge water Game • Materials:- Sponges, 2 tubs (One full of water and other one empty) • Instructions: - Place few sponges and 2 tubs, one full of water and the other empty. Tell your child to soak the sponge in water and squeeze the water into the empty tub. 5. Theme:- Kitchen shapes • Materials:- Kitchen equipments • Instructions:- Allow your child to be with you in the kitchen. Call out a shape such as ‘Circle’ and see how many items of that shape your child can find in your kitchen. For example- plates, cookies, Jar lids etc. You and your child can even take turns for calling out the shape and can see who finds the maximum number of shapes in the kitchen. 6. Theme:- Simon says/ Mummy says • Instructions: - Tell your child that you will give instructions for him/ her to follow. Tell him/her to listen carefully and
follow instructions. Start the game with "mummy says, put your finger on your chin." Continue the game by giving more instructions. 7. Theme;- Field Trip to Vegetable Market • Instructions:- Take your child to the vegetable market. Talk to your child about the Community helpers like vegetable vendor, fruit vendor, vegetables and fruits available during the summer season. 8. Theme:- Fun with bean bag • Materials: - Old socks, Rajma beans, etc. • Instructions: - Children love tossing the bean bags. These are small bean bags made of socks and filled with rajma beans. Ask your child to toss the bean bag in a carton/ tub / tray. You can also make your child throw it up and catch. It will be fun for the child to play throw and catch with you as a partner. 9. Theme;- Sand play • Materials:- Sand, Sand toys, water • Instructions: - Let your child play in damp sand and create different objects. 10.
Theme;- Sorting • Materials:- Hair clips, bindis, bangles, toys, hair bands etc. • Instructions: - Ask your child to sort accessories like hair clips, bangles, bindi, hair bands or their toys according to the colour.

Theme;- Build a tent • Materials:- Chairs, blanket, table etc. • Instructions: - Tents are inspirational places for role-play and imaginative activities. Simply put four chairs together and use sheets and blankets to make the roof. If you have enough space, you could even use tables, stools and other furniture to create little rooms and sections inside.

Theme;- Rope games • Materials:- Rope • Instructions: - Lay the rope in a straight line like a tightrope and have your child hold out his arms to balance himself as
he/she walks. With the rope still lying straight, ask your child to think of how many ways he/she can go over it: walk across it, hop over it (on one or two feet), jump across it, crawl across it, or any other way he/she can think of. 13.
Theme;- Fizzy Fruit • Materials:- Any assorted seasonal fruit (no skin), Sprite • Instructions: - Cut fruit into small pieces. Blend in blender the fruit and Sprite. • Pour the drink into a cup and enjoy

Theme;- Creamy mango ice • Materials:- 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 2 fresh mangoes peeled and de-seeded , 250 ml thickened cream • Instructions: - Mix the sugar and water and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the mango and cream into it. Use a mixer or blender to puree the mixture. Pour the mixture into ice block moulds and freeze. Theme; - Create a “mini-me.” • Materials:- Chart paper, Crayons • Instructions: - Take a chart paper wide enough for your child to lay down on. Use a crayon to trace their entire body onto the paper from head to toe. Now let the child decorate the tracing to look like him/ her in the same clothes he/ she is wearing, same color eyes, hair, etc. When they are finished, help them cut out their mini-me for proud display. Theme; - Growing Up • Instructions: - Sit with your child and ask the questions listed below. Encourage him/ her to respond. • His/ her name, age, mother’s name, father’s name, names of other members of the family, their relationship to him/ her, names of domestic helps etc. • Have a look around the house- what is each section calledbathroom, kitchen etc.,- the purpose of each room- e.g., in which room do we cook? • Materials:- Marbles, poster paints, paper

• Instructions: - Place the paper in the tray. Put blobs of paint on the paper first and then put the marbles in it. Then ask your child to move the tray around to get the marbles into the paint blobs. Theme:- Bottle cap Matching
• Materials:-Bottle caps and bottles of different types, colours, sizes • Instructions: - Take a bunch of used bottles and let children match the caps to the bottles. This is a self-correcting activity, so when they get to the end and all the caps don't match, they know they've made a mistake and can go back to find it. 19.
Themes:- Wash the Car • Materials:- Bucket, Water, Soap, towel • Instructions: Ask your child to help you in washing the car/ bike.

Themes:- Copy cats • Instructions: Play copycat by having your child copy your movements. Put your hands on your head, touch the floor, shake your hands, or sweep your arms up over your head. Then let her lead you through her own series of exercises.

• Materials:- Poster colours, any flower from your garden, flower cutouts

• Instructions:- Dip the flower in the poster colours and dab it on the flower cutout. Keep it to dry. Once dried you can either make wall hanging using the flower cutouts or attach it to a stick using tape and arrange it in a flower vase. Themes:- Race Car Track
• Materials:- Masking tape, toy cars • Instructions:- Little boys and girls who love the car race will have a blast constructing their very own track. 23.
Themes:- Have a disco • Materials:- Music player, torches • Instructions: Choose a selection of upbeat tunes, draw the curtains and give out torches and have your very own indoor disco. It's a great way to burn off some energy and is great fun too.

Theme:- Guessing Bag • Materials:- Small household objects • Instructions:- Place a variety of small, unbreakable household objects inside a bag. Close the bag so the objects are not visible. Have your child feel the objects through the bag and guess what they are.
