Term 2 Options Course Information This term students are directed to electronically sign up for their options through Google Docs. Students will be asked for their TOP 3 OPTION CHOICES PER DAY. If you would like to fill out the registration at home, go to http://bit.ly/Term2Options or http://www.psdblogs.ca/muirlake/ and from the “Links” select “Term 2 Options Registration”. This registration must be filled out by Thursday December 11th 2014 at 2:35 pm. Students who fill out the survey late may be placed into an option at the discretion of the office, based on availability. For day 4 options, all grade 6 students will be divided into 3 groups. As part of the curriculum, each of the three groups will be cycled through Art with Mrs. Wayken: group 1 took art in term 1, group 2 will take art in term 2 and group 3 in term 3, so group 2 will not need to sign up electronically for term 2. All other grade 6 to 9 students will have the opportunity to sign up for an option of their choice. Grade 7 students were placed first for the first term, grade 8s have first choice in term 2 and the grade 9s will have first choice in term 3. We try to get students in their first or second choice, however, if they complete the survey after the deadline or if the classes fill up, this is not always possible. If you have already taken part in one of the options listed, please choose a different one – remember; options classes are about exploring opportunities. Please be careful when selecting the course that you read the requirements and expectations of the course. Once the lists of courses have been posted, any requests for changes will require a Course Change Form to be completed and signed by all teachers and parents involved. These forms may be obtained at the office. Students must bring cash or cheques (made payable to Parkland School Division #70) to the teacher for the courses that require payment ONLY once that course begins and they have been CONFIRMED in the course. Students: Please ensure that you have discussed your selections with your parent/guardian and that they are aware and agree to the fee associated with the course. Thank you, Teachers and Staff, Muir Lake School
