Using arts based techniques to facilitate storytelling (poetry, performance, visual arts, digital storytelling etc)
•
Decided to merge the two projects together
•
This gives us access to some funding via Wellcome Trust Fellowship and enables us to involve more people

Our Plans •
Hold a 2 day residential event at an accessible location in Yorkshire
•
Participants will be able to pick different workshops, facilitated by arts and engagement practitioners.
•
Time will be built in for more informal discussions and networking

Aims of the workshops •
To build peer support networks within and between Yorkshire and Humber involvement groups.
•
To pilot the use of arts based facilitation techniques within public involvement.
•
To help people to reflect on their experiences and prepare for dialogue with researchers and clinicians.

Workshops are likely to take place in late Feb 2017

The exact dates and venue will be decided based on the needs of the people who sign up. Have a short list of accessible venues.

Get Involved If more that 20 people want to attend we will select people based on: •
Links to a variety of different community / involvement groups / networks so that learning can be shared
•
A willingness to take part in 2 days of workshops and contribute to evaluation activities after the event
•
A commitment to working collaboratively
•
A willingness to try new activities and learn from and with each other
