Over the summer of 2017, the Library Board and Staff worked with library consultant Stephanie Anderson to create a three-year plan of service. As part of this process, Stephanie elicited feedback through: An online survey distributed online & in print A community focus group Meetings with the staff and board Attendance at Fort Lee’s Night Out. We were pleased to hear how positive the community feels about their Library. Looking at answers to the patron survey, 93% of respondents to the patron survey rated customer service at the library as excellent or good, and 90% report they are extremely satisfied or satisfied with FLPL overall.
In addition to the praise, there were lots of suggestions from patrons and staff alike, all offering great insight into what FLPL does well and what it can do better, as well as hearing from those who are dissatisfied or do not use the Library. This provided us with an excellent foundation on which to build a 2017-2020 Plan of Service that will launch FLPL to a new level of community-building and public service.
