All players must go to desk and hand in score-sheets where scores will be checked and agreed by all players concerned. If there is a discrepancy in scores these MUST be dealt with at the time – it is difficult to correct after the effect. NO COACHING ALLOWED Tournament Rules 1. Tournament will be carried out according to the rules of Badminton Scotland including the prohibition of doping which may be carried out. 2. Feather shuttlecocks will be used. 3. The tournament will be played as follows: a. Pools for all events - 1 game to 21 NO setting; b. Singles and doubles events will have top 2 to final elimination round with all others to consolation round. Trophies for winner & runner up with 3rd place medal along with consolation winner medal. 1 game to 21 with setting (not over 30 points) up to and including semis; final and 3rd place will be best of 3 to 21 with setting (not over 30 points). Consolation rounds will be 1 game to 21 with setting (not over 30 points). 4. The committee reserves the right to make any changes necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament 5. Players absent when called upon to play may be scratched. 6. Players should inform the desk if they leave the hall or are unable to play. 7. Players must advise the Referee on arrival at the Championships if they do not wish to be included in official photographs which may be taken by the tournament organisers. 8. Neither the Highland Badminton Group, nor Charleston Academy will be under any liability in respect of any personal loss or injury. Competitors are responsible for arranging cover if required.
