PROGRAMME Under 18 (born after 1st Jan 1998) Date: Saturday 7th November 2015 9am to 6pm, Black Isle Leisure Centre, Deans Road, FORTROSE, IV10 8TJ ORGANISER: Michael Gregson, 0777 180 6362 Results will be updated website: www.highlandbadmintongroup.co.uk Other Information: If a player has any issues during a game please contact the desk immediately; and if possible a referee will be assigned – Jane Grant (Badminton Scotland 0fficial Regional Development Officer for the Highlands and Islands) is the official tournament referee. All players must go to desk and hand in score-sheets where scores will be checked and agreed by all players concerned. If there is a discrepancy in scores these MUST be dealt with at the time – it is difficult to correct after the effect. NO COACHING ALLOWED Tournament Rules 1. Tournament will be carried out according to the rules of Badminton Scotland including the prohibition of doping which may be carried out. 2. Feather shuttlecocks will be used. 3. The tournament will be played as follows: a. Pools for singles - 1 game to 21 no setting; followed by knockout – best of 3 games to 21 with setting (Finals A & B - top 2 will proceed to Final A and all others to Final B). There are trophies for ‘Final A’ winner & runner up with 3rd place medal; ‘Final B’ winner medal only. b. Level and mixed doubles will be played in Round Robin pool with no elimination round there are trophies for winner & runner up with 3rd place medal (best of 3 games to 21 with setting). 4. The committee reserves the right to make any changes necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament 5. Players absent when called upon to play may be scratched. 6. Players should inform the desk if they leave the hall or are unable to play. 7. Players must advise the Referee on arrival at the Championships if they do not wish to be included in official photographs which may be taken by the tournament organisers. 8. Neither the Highland Badminton Group, nor Black Isle Leisure Centre will be under any liability in respect of any personal loss or injury. Competitors are responsible for arranging cover if required.
