We, the Senior Class of Purdy High School, take great pleasure in dedicating the 1964-65 EAGLE to a man who has served deligently as a member of the administrative staff for the past two years. He is always faithful and never complains. From his office comes various services: vocational guidance, capable counseling, a warm friendly smile, and firm discipline. He is truly a man among men. He is active in church, school, and civic organizations. He is a friend to all and gives a listening ear to those who ask. We, 1965 Seniors in sincere appreciation for the example you have set before us, dedicate this year's EAGLE to you: BILLIE CHARLES LEONARD.

HRYN SCHAD N"REHWINKlE 3

Knowledge is a means and not an end unto itself, for it is the use to which one puts knowledge gained that counts and not the knowledge itself. In the scientific and mobile society of today) knowledge is no longer an advantage but rather a necessity. As with all other necessities) the price of knowledge is dear. lt is my hope that all future students will pursue the priceless ne_ cessity as tenaciously as this years graduates. To the graduates, underclassmen, and staff) my compliments on a battle fought and a victory won on the road to enlightenment .

Billie C. Leonard, Supt. of Schools

I take this opportunity to express my thanks to the stu dents, teachers, parents, school board, and superintendent of schools for the co_operation that you have given me for the past two years . Co-operation has been the key to the success that Purdy High School has had during these two years, that I have been high school principal. We are all striving for a common goal; at times we may have a difference of opinion regarding the method of reaching these goals; but as long as \ we are willing to work together we will remain on the road of success. We must not stop with the progress that we have made; we must continue to do our best to move forward. !tLET KNOWLEDGE GO FORTH. 11 So, not only, ask what the school can do for you or what you can do for the school, (ask these questions), but more important "ASK VVHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER.
