Meeting Format Revised August 15, 2017

Welcome to Recovery At Noon Meeting of NA. My name is ________ and I am an addict. Let’s open this meeting with a moment of silence, followed by the Serenity Prayer… (God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.) The Recovery At Noon meetings of Narcotics Anonymous is registered with the World Service Office. This Phone-line meeting was formed for addicts that can’t make it to Face-to-face meetings. It is not a substitute for a regular meeting. If you are able to go, please attend meetings in your area. Narcotics Anonymous suggest you attend meetings regularly, go often, and stay clean. We meet here 5 days a week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Mondays – We study out of the Living Clean: The Journey Continues book. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday -- We have a Topic/Open discussion meeting. 1st Saturday -- We Study the Step of the month 2nd Saturday -- We study the Tradition and concept of the month, and the remaining Saturday’s are chairperson choice or Anniversaries. Our Meeting times are from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm EST (Eastern Standard Time). We carry the message of hope, ever reminding ourselves that, “Any addict never has to do this alone”.

We will now read a few portions from our Basic Text: We ask that those who have the willingness, and their literature available to help with the readings (Ask for volunteers to read) Who, (pg3), What (pg7 ), Why ( p13), How (p17), & Traditions (Pg 60). (Thank everyone that read.) Part of sharing is sharing time, so we ask that you keep your sharing down to 5 minutes or less. After 5 minutes we will gently remind you to bring your sharing to a close. The Chairperson will advise any participant who has background noise on the phone to please hit star* 6 to mute themselves. If the background noise continues, the Chairperson will advise the Moderator to manually mute the participant. Any disruptive behavior will be muted. The atmosphere of recovery MUST be maintained AT ALL TIMES. We suggest, If you do not get a chance to share, stay on the line afterwards. (If a speaker will be sharing, introduce speaker, remind speaker to share for 10-15 mins. then thank the speaker and open the floor.) (At the discretion of the chairperson, some time after 1pm, announce to group members.) At 1:20 pm, we set aside time for a burning desire. (A Burning desire is when you might want to hurt yourself, someone else, or when you might have something that may cause you to change your clean date. Now is the time we set aside for you to come off mute, tell on your disease-- Call for a burning desire) If there isn't a burning desire, the floor will be reopened for more 5 mins. of sharing time. Then, at 1:25, we will ask for someone to read JFT (BT pg 93) reading. Afterwards, the floor will be closed for sharing. Announcements: Recovery At Noon Conscience Meeting is held the last Saturday of the month immediately after the meeting. If you would like to become a home group member, chair a meeting or celebrate your anniversary with us, please attend our conscience meeting and state your willingness. 2
