The Cost ● Total project cost is $36,664,000 ● Total bond needed $35,000,000 ● The projected tax impact is $87.60 per $100,000 of assessed property value ● This is a 43% reduction from the 2014 bond, which was $153.39 per $100,000
The Cost ● 45% of the projected bond payment is already in the school budget ● Renovating now will reduce emergency repair costs, such as last year’s gym floor
The Cost ● In today’s dollars the 2014 bond would be nearly $38,000,000 ● If we wait, construction costs will increase 4-5% each year and interest rates will likely rise ● Each month that passes the cost increases more than $140,000
