The real GROWTH of an individual is that which takes him from a)Untruth to truth b) Darkness to light c) Death to immortality. Keeping this is mind, this wonderful topic was chosen for the Thinking Day celebration 2017. The same day and the same theme was taken up by the cubs and bulbuls of the vidyalaya and the following events took place. The day was celebrated in continuation with the thinking day celebration. It began with All faith Prayer , followed by the Honouring of our great founder, Lord Baden Powell and Lady Powell by garlanding their portrait. The chief guest Mr.Viswanath honoured us by presiding over. The utsav began with the prayer .Our Principal madam Mrs.A.Shashi, Vice Principal Madam Mrs.Jagadeeswari and HM madam Mrs. R.Amutha graced the occasion by inaugurating. A beautiful banner was made for the occasion and children decorated it with wonderful pictures and quotes related to the topic GROWTH. The bulbuls and cubs were divided into two groups each. They decorated their bulbultree and Den beautifully . The bulbul tree with eco-friendly materials like natural and paper flowers, nests, self-made birds twigs etc. The den was decorated with beautiful animal masks, animal toys and sceneries set up by the enthusiastic cubs. The bulbuls and cubs welcomed the dignitaries by their special way of greeting. This was followed by the promise taken by the Bulbul and Cub leader followed by others. The dignitaries were then honoured with a scarf. Cubs and bulbuls had collected numerous plant saplings to compensate for the loss of trees in the vidyalaya, due to Vardha 2016. The dignitaries were asked to plant these saplings and they appreciated the children for taking the theme GROWTH in letter and spirit. This was followed by a small sing-song session where the children sang the song carrying the message ‘Our duties today for a better tomorrow”. The programme came to an end with the distribution of refreshments and dispersal.
