ROYAL ADVANCED CAREER EDUCATION CENTRE RACE - yet another noble venture from ROYAL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY - An overview INRODUCTION As we all know that the pace of advancement in technologies used, in the industry has become tremendous these days. New technologies are being introduced into, and are getting outdated, within short spans of time. The present employment scenario has switched over in such a way that it has space for fresher graduates, only if they are carrying some add-on qualifications/skills/experiences that are of current industrial relevance, in their quiver, along with their degrees. The industry needs young talents who are plug N play i.e, who are experienced and are ready to take up responsibilities straight away with no or very minimal training. It is practically impossible to impart the above mentioned experience, knowledge, skills etc. to the students in the syllabus (seldom updated & time constrained) based professional education system. As a result the fresh graduates who are passing out of professional colleges are facing a real tough time in finding, even an entry level employment, even in tier 2 or 3 organizations. This spoils the very purpose of professional education itself, and the situation is going to be the worst in the years to come.

In this context, Royal College of Engineering and Technology, absolutely proactive as always, has come up with innovative mitigation measures which can effectively counter those crisis, and that lead to the formation of ‘ROYAL ADVANCED CAREER EDUCATION CENTRE (RACE)’.

ABOUT RACE RACE is the result of a combined and extreme hard work by a dedicated team of ROYALians. The team, including the Principal, HODs and faculties from various departments, after conducting thorough evaluations and surveys, have identified various Add-On courses that are best suited, and are of latest industrial relevance, for all the six

B. Tech branches

(AE, CE, CSE, ECE, EEE & ME) at Royal College. The team has also found out the best institutions (external) providing those courses and have invited proposals from those institutions to Sign MoU with ROYAL COLLEGE and conduct those course here, for our students, using our infrastructure and facilities, so that the students will be assured of maximum quality with least possible fees. The entire program will be coordinated and controlled by RACE. The students will register for the course, pay the fees etc. through RACE and will get the certificate jointly issued by the Institute concerned and RACE, at the time of their successful completion of the program. In short every single activity regarding the add on courses, right from the planning, till issuing the certificates, will be exclusively handled by RACE .
