Trip Around the World 1. Place all of the picture cards in a pile upside down. Each player gets 11 marking chips and a map playing card. 2. The first player begins by rolling a die. If the player rolls an even number, the player then picks a picture card. 3. Then, the player finds the same picture on game board map. The picture will either be located in an ocean or on a continent. Place the card in a discard pile. Reshuffle as needed. 4. The player must say correctly the ocean or continent the picture is located in. (If needed, the other players may check the answer key map)
5. If correct, the player places a marking chip on their individual map card over the continent or ocean their picture was located on. (Each section of the map only needs to be covered once with a marking chip)
6. Players continue until they have covered all of the continents and oceans on their map card. The first player to use all 11 chips to cover up each continent and ocean of their map card wins!

Laminate and cut out all cards. Suggestion: Make 2 or 3 sets of the picture cards to give students more chances to pick a card that they need to cover up a section for their map card.
Place game board sections as seen below on the inside of a file folder to create the completed map.
The teddy bear is found in the Pacific Ocean on the game board map. So the player places one of their marking chips (such as a bingo chip) in the Pacific Ocean on their map card.
Students need to be the first player to cover up all 11 continents and oceans (7 continents and 4 oceans) in order to win.
A completed winning card looks like this. If during a player’s turn, he or she picks up picture card representing an ocean or continent that is already covered on their map card, the game continues on to the next player. Only one chip is needed for each continent and ocean (11 in all).
