Like much seasoned poet-laureates, there are both short, as well as typically long and meandering answers to all of the above. With the burgeoning popularity of the Saturday recovery brunch, or for the more unshakable amongst you…the “hair of the dog” which rapidly turns into a Saturday session-Brunch , we thought we would provide a mini guide to answer the latter of those questions with 10 absolute corkers!

The “Mas Mas” Brunch @ Maya

The Ivy Saturday Rolling Brunch Outlet Name: Maya Modern Mexican Kitchen, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa CLICK HERE to read Mr & Mrs Brunch's full review The Lowdown: Elegant Mexican brilliance from Celebrity Chef Richard Sandoval. Starters include small sharing plates of Huarache, Quesadillas and Nachos. Mains include sumptuous rib-eye steak fajitas, lobster, lamb chops, cerviche and cilantro rice.

Outlet Name: The Ivy, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, DIFC The Lowdown: A relaxed, family affair with a 4 course choice of Ivy Classic hors d’oeuvres, entrees, desserts and cheeses. This brunch is frequented by a number of young families, some even bringing their own board games! They make a lot of Bloody Mary’s and Espresso Martini’s and the most popular dishes are the Roast Beef, the Sticky Toffee Pudding & the Seabass! Packages: AED 299 for non-alcoholic, AED 399 for house beverages and cocktails, AED 599 for Sparkling. Kids from 5 to 12 are charged 299 AED for brunch, but there is also a separate kids menu.
