Several Lyon County Schools are participating in a voluntary online survey about school climate, sponsored by the Nevada Department of Education. The survey, called the “Nevada School Climate Social Emotional Learning,” will be administered to students in grades 5th-12th during regular school hours over the next several weeks. The survey will ask students about their perceptions surrounding topics such as student engagement, school environment, and school safety. A copy of this survey may be previewed on our LCSD website. Your child will not place his/her name on the survey, it will remain anonymous, and the results will not be tied to your child, only to our school and Lyon County School District. The survey is estimated to take approximately 15-20 minutes. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this survey, please sign, and date this letter and return to your child’s teacher by March 16. An alternative activity will be provided for your child during this survey.
