Notes From The Teaching Staff: ~ April 24th—28th is Week of the Young Child. This celebration is sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The purpose is to focus attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. The Week of the Young Child is a time to recognize that children’s opportunities are our responsibilities and to ensure that every child experiences a positive environment to promote early learning. Sebeka Public School will be hosting a Kindergarten Picnic on Monday, April 10th from 6:00—7:15 pm. This picnic is for families with children going into kindergarten. Families will be able to meet the teachers, visit classrooms and receive information regarding kindergarten along with an enrollment packet with forms to

enroll your child in kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year. Sebeka School will be sending out invitations to families that are currently on the census list. If you do not receive a letter and plan on sending your child to kindergarten in Sebeka, please contact Judy Huotari in the school office at 837-5101. ext. 102.
