1. HORIZONTAL SEPARATION: a. WATERMAINS SHALL BE LAID AT LEAST TEN FEET HORIZONTALLY FROM ANY EXISTING OR PROPOSED DRAIN, STORM SEWER, SANITARY SEWER OR SEWER SERVICE CONNECTION.

WATER MAIN SHALL BE DUCTILE IRON PIPE, CLASS 52 CONFORMING TO ANSI A21.51 (AWWA C151) WITH CEMENT LINING CONFORMING TO ANSI A21.4 (AWWA C104) AND PUSH-ON JOINTS CONFORMING TO ANSI A21.11 (AWWA C111).

b. WATERMAINS MAY BE LAID CLOSER THAN TEN FEET TO A SEWER LINE WHEN SEWERS ARE CONSTRUCTED AS WATERMAIN QUALITY PIPE.

ALL WATERMAIN SHALL BE ENCASED IN POLYETHYLENE FILM IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWWA C-105-82.

2. VERTICAL SEPARATION: a. A WATERMAIN SHALL BE LAID SO THAT ITS INVERT IS 18 INCHES ABOVE THE CROWN OF THE DRAIN OR SEWER WHENEVER WATERMAINS CROSS STORM SEWERS, SANITARY SEWERS OR SEWER SERVICE CONNECTIONS. THE VERTICAL SEPARATION SHALL BE MAINTAINED FOR THAT PORTION OF THE WATERMAIN LOCATED WITHIN TEN FEET HORIZONTALLY OR ANY SEWER OR DRAIN CROSSED. A LENGTH OF WATERMAIN PIPE SHALL BE CENTERED OVER THE SEWER TO BE CROSSED WITH JOINTS EQUIDISTANT FROM THE SEWER OR DRAIN.

ALL LIGHTING WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE CITY OF AURORA STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS, THE LATEST EDITION OF IDOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK, AND THE LATEST EDITION OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS FOR HIGHWAY SIGNS, LUMINAIRES AND TRAFFIC SIGNALS. 5. PRIOR TO ANY EQUIPMENT ORDER, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS, CATALOG CUT SHEETS, AND DESIGN DATA FOR ALL MATERIAL PROPOSED FOR THE PROJECT TO THE ENGINEER AND OWNER FOR REVIEW & APPROVAL. 6. BEFORE EXCAVATING, CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT "JULIE" 800-892-0125 AND THE CITY OF AURORA AND THE OWNER FOR FIELD LOCATIONS OF BURIED UTILITIES. THE LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES, AS SHOWN ON THESE PLANS, ARE APPROXIMATE AND ARE SHOWN AS NOTICE TO THE CONTRACTOR THAT UTILITIES EXIST. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES BEFORE TRENCHING OR AUGERING. 7. ALL ELECTRICAL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE LATEST EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (N.E.C.) AND ANY APPLICABLE LOCAL CODES. 8. ALL EXCESS DIRT AND DEBRIS EXCAVATED FOR POLE FOUNDATIONS SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR. 9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ACCESS TO ALL EXISTING STREETS, DRIVEWAYS, SIDEWALKS, AND PARKING LOTS AT ALL TIMES TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OPERATION. 10. THE COST OF THE CONDUIT SHALL INCLUDE ELBOWS, SWEEPS, CONNECTING HARDWARE, TRENCHING AND BACKFILL AS INDICATED IN THE PLANS. THE COST OF THE CONDUIT SHALL ALSO INCLUDE THE COST OF RESTORING CUT PAVEMENT, SIDEWALKS, SOD, ETC., TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION. SOD SHALL BE REPLACED IN LIKE KIND OF THE ADJACENT SURROUNDINGS. 11. THE CONDUCTOR SIZES SHOWN ON THE PLANS ARE BASED ON A 480/277 VOLT THREE PHASE SERVICE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING SERVICE WITH THE OWNER. IF SERVICE IS DIFFERENT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ADEQUATE NUMBER AND SIZE CONDUCTORS AND CONDUITS. 12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FINISHED GRADE AND ALL RESTORATION WORK OF ALL ITEMS DISTURBED BY LIGHTING INSTALLATION. 13. ALL CONDUIT UNDER EXISTING SIDEWALK TO BE DIRECTIONALLY BORED. 14. THE PARKING LOT LIGHTING SYSTEM WILL BE MAINTAINED BY OWNER UPON FINAL ACCEPTANCE.

CONTRACTOR TO CONNECT PROPOSED LIGHTING CIRCUIT TO SPARE POLE ON EXISTING PARKING LOT CONTACTOR LC1. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL 277V SINGLE POLE 20 AMP BREAKER IN SITE LIGHTING PANEL SL1 LOCATED IN BUILDING ELECTRICAL ROOM TO POWER PROPOSED LIGHTING CIRCUIT. SEE SHEET E1.1 FOR EXISTING PARKING LOT ELECTRICAL PLANS. 2. THE COST OF THE CONDUIT SHALL INCLUDE ALL ITEMS NEEDED TO FURNISH THE INTERIOR CONDUIT INCLUDING ELBOWS, SWEEPS, CONNECTING HARDWARE, MOUNTING HARDWARE, AND WALL CORING.
