Sharjah 6th International Open Athletics Meeting 14 & 15 March 2016 Dear Sports Friends and Colleagues, It’s a great pleasure to invite you to take part to the Sharjah 6th International Athletics Meeting to be held 14th & 15th Mar. 2016, at Althiqah club for handicapped in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Since 2011, year of our 1st meeting, your support and cooperation contribute significantly in our success to provide a high level competition. We will be very happy to meet you once again in the sunny and smiley city of Sharjah. The 6th edition will be a real occasion for all of participants to achieve standards for major athletics championships especially for Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and coming IPC Athletics championships.

Sharjah 6th International Open Athletics Meeting 2016 Date: 14th & 15th March 2016 Place: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Organizer: Althiqah club for handicapped. Chairman: Tariq Sultan Ahmed M. Alkhadim. Venue: Althiqah Club Track (Mondo). Classes: 10’s, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s. (Men & Women). Events: Track: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, and 5000m, Long & Triple Jumps. Field: Shot put, Discus, Javelin, club. * IPC competition rules applied. * IPC RAZA point score system will be used for field combined classes. * Requested a minimum of three competitors to set up an event. * Sanction: IPC Approved.
Prizes and awards: Prizes and awards will be discerned for the first three in each event. Athlete without IPC registration (SDMS) will be not allowed to awards. Entries: Athletes are allowed to enter in unlimited number of events. Participating athletes in the Sharjah 6th International Open Athletics Meeting could be subject of doping control according to IPC and WADA rules and regulations. Deadline: entries must be confirmed 25th February 2016. Preliminary Schedule:
