Third Call for Papers We are pleased to announce the second call for papers for the 9th Brazilian Symposium on Construction Management and Economics (SIBRAGEC) and the 6th Latin American Conference on Construction Management and Economics (ELAGEC), to be held in São Carlos, State of São Paulo - Brazil, from October 7th to 9th, 2015. SIBRAGEC is a biennial event promoted by the Brazilian Association of Built Environment Technology (ANTAC), which is the main academic organization in the field of the Built Environment in Brazil, and aims at promoting the collaboration between researchers and disseminate scientific and technical advances within the field.

ELAGEC is also a biennial event, being an important international forum for Construction Management and Economics, involving academics and practitioners from Ibero-American countries, creating opportunities for integration and knowledge sharing concerned with the development of this discipline in Southern Europe and Latin America.

This will the second joint edition of SIBRAGEC and ELAGEC. The event will be organized by the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and the University of São Paulo (USP), with the support of the Federal University of Bahia-Brazil, State University of LondrinaBrazil and Technology of Monterrey-Mexico. The main theme for this conference will be “New models and approaches for construction management in Ibero-American countries”, including some key topics such as industrialized building systems, social housing, innovative project delivery systems, and the use of information and communication technologies. Papers can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English. There will be three categories of papers at the conference: 





Full high quality papers: should be submitted to the Special Edition on Construction Management and Economics of the Ambiente Construído Journal. These papers will be reviewed by the board of referees of Ambiente Construído. If accepted for this special edition, papers will be presented in technical sessions, provided that at least one of the authors attends the Conference. Ordinary conference papers: should be submitted through the conference website, and papers will be reviewed by the SIBRAGEC-ELAGEC 2015 Scientific Committee. These papers will be presented in dynamic Poster Sessions, in which discussions between presenters and attendees will be encouraged. Post Graduate student papers: Master or Ph.D. students can submit papers

reporting research proposals and preliminary findings of research projects. These papers will also be reviewed by the SIBRAGEC-ELAGEC 2015 Scientific Committee. They will be presented in specific sessions, involving a panel of leading academics who will provide feedback for each research project.

Papers not accepted by the Ambiente Construído Journal can be re-submitted and reviewed as ordinary conference papers, if they meet all SIBRAGEC-ELAGEC 2015 conference paper guidelines. Abstracts should be related to the following themes:                 
