Position Open at Kellogg for Social Impact Manager Summary: The Social Impact Manager is a new role at Kellogg and marks a step forward for Kellogg’s Social Impact footprint, as the school is integrating all Impact-related courses, student engagement, competitions, events, awards, and research into one area. Reporting directly to the Director of Social Impact, Megan Kashner, and as part of the Kellogg Public-Private Initiative (KPPI), the Social Impact Manager will be responsible for helping to build a cohesive program and solidify Kellogg's role as a thought leader in the space. The Social Impact Manager will oversee all aspects of social impact award funding and scholarship programs; be a key contact for student engagement; build on existing events and challenges; and work with the Director to develop partnerships with community stakeholders, create new programs, and work with students, staff, and faculty to create social impact engagement opportunities in and outside the classroom. The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter with a passion for and deep knowledge of the Impact space and will be eager to jump in and build the structure, knowledge and supports necessary to prepare the next wave of business leaders to lead in an era of social responsibility. Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Social Impact program so that they are appropriately managed, efficient and effective. • Work closely with the Director, Social Impact and the KPPI Marketing Manager to advance thought leadership in the area of Social Impact. • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase program profile, reputation, visibility and support. • Development and implementation of evaluation processes that ensure that Social Impact benchmarks are successfully attained and communicated in a timely and efficient manner. • Develop, plan and implement strategies, goals and approaches for programs and events. • Create and implement department strategy for support of students. Oversee course schedule/enrollments. Counsel students to best utilize resources. Secure speakers. • Administer programs, awards, competitions and fund awards including the annual Sustainable Investing Challenge and other competitions and events. Qualifications & Competencies: • B.A. or higher degree required. MBA, masters or higher degree preferred. • 5+ years program administration in relevant field required. • Knowledge/experience in the social impact sector preferred, including: nonprofit leadership, CSR, philanthropy, impact investing, global development, sustainability, diversity. • Proven experience managing complex projects and events and in building and maintaining relationships with 'high touch' external partners. • Highly organized and able to develop sustainable and replicable work processes. • Comfort with an array of professionals and community stakeholders and great respect for the dignity of people and communities targeted by social impact efforts. • Strong and proven communication skills (verbal and written).
