SOH Tardy Sweep Action Plan 2013-‐14 Prior to a tardy sweep being conducted, students and staff will be notified via the PA that a sweep will occur. Teachers must lock their doors when then final bell rings. Students that are late will receive a detention slip; they are not to be allowed in class w/o a slip that has their name and current date and time. In an effort to minimize the time that students are out class, staff will be posted throughout the campus distributing detention slips. • Students that are late to the 200’s and 300’s will report to the attendance windows at the main office. • Students that are late to the 400’s, 500’s, 600’s, and IA’s will report to Gio Medina at the north end of the 500/600 (dark) hallway. • Students that are late to the 700’s will report to Paul Arreola in the 700 quad. • Students that are late to the 900’s and PE will report to Rob Russell in front of the weight room. • Students that are late to the 1100’s will report to Marisela Ayala and Leo Ibarra in the new quad area. • Administration will roam campus and direct students to the detention slip areas that are nearest to their classrooms and ensuring that students are reporting immediately back to their classrooms upon receiving their detention slip. Detention slips will be returned to Mr. Medina and an excel spreadsheet will be created. A Connect-‐ Ed call will go out that day to the homes of the students that were assigned detention. The detention will need to be served that day from 3 to 4.30pm in the cafeteria. Students that have difficulties serving the detention can come the following school day before school from 6.30 to 7.30am to serve their detention in room 205 but only with prior approval from Mr. Medina. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. Guillermo Medina Attendance Coordinator
