Maintain the average Retention Rates for all BAP Majors
Retention Rate as reported every year by the UPRH Office of Planning, Accreditation and Institutional Research Office (OPAI, for its Spanish acronym).
The most recent BAP Retention Rates-2014-2015 using cohort of 2013-2014 are:
The UPRH institutional average retention rate is 86%. Although the majors are nearby the campus rate, the BAP will continue taking actions to increase those measures.
Faculty meetings are held every semester to analyze the retention and graduation rates of all BAP Majors.
The accounting program shows a decrease in the graduation rate of 10%. In this particular cohort, a significant number of students in second alternative study was admitted. As a result, the cohort had a high level of transfer to natural science affecting the graduation rate for this cohort in specific.
Continue providing tutoring services for BAP students on Quantitative and Accounting courses.

The BAP Human Resource major graduation rate has a 3 year negative trend. The Management major graduation rate is very low but shows a 2% increase in a two-year trend since 2012.

Graduation Rate for all BAP majors are below the UPRH institutional average graduation rate of 45%.
Faculty meetings were held every year to analyze the retention and graduation rates of all BAP majors to develop strategies for improvement of these performance measures. A study of BAP student cohorts is recommended to investigate the variables (such as admission indexes, career plans, among others) affecting the graduation rates of all BAP majors. Tutoring services were provided to 146 students for 15 BAP courses during 2014-15, and 216 received tutoring for 18 courses in 2015-16. A very high student satisfaction rate of tutoring services was obtain from the participants receiving a passing grade of C or better. Continue offering tutorial services. Continue providing academic advising services with degree completion plans for BAP students.

Increase the ratio of first alternative applications relative to the total BAP Majors Applications.

Two-hundred twelve (212) first alternative applications were received for 2015-2016, which is 26.2% of the total applications for the BAP majors.
There is an undefined trend in the ratio of first alternative applications on the last two years.
Continue providing a yearly BAP Open House activity for high school students with faculty and student associations’ participation.
BAP total freshmen enrollment exceeds quota for BAP Majors in all of the disclosed years.
UPRH Admissions Officers continue actively visiting high schools with a UPRH promotional video and brochures that include information about BAP Majors.
