IV. uªÈÀ ö©õÈ ö£¯ºzx GÊxP: Even in the moments of utter disappointment one can take inspiration from the lives of great men – how they faced odds in their lives and rose from strength to strength to remain noble. If one faces the pangs of poverty and a handicap in education one has Abraham Lincoln who studied in the light coming through the window of his employer or Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar who would study under a street lamp. Even facing these difficulties they retained piety of their soul. The modern youngmen can make their youth pure and life sublime by looking at the vigour of great men like Vivekanand and Shankaracharya who attained sublimity for themselves and greatness for the nation. The heart of Buddha, Mahavir, Tolstoy or Gandhi brimmed with kindness for all. We too can achieve this sublimity – this piety. They are not merely light houses but living examples to be practised and followed.
