Teacher Viewing of Preliminary CAASPP Scores To facilitate site discussion, program analysis and teacher planning, the California Department of Education is making preliminary CAASPP data available as soon as possible on an individual student and test area basis. For instance, once a student has completed both the CAT and PT portions of English Language Arts, his/her raw number ELA score to the Claim and Target level will be posted within three weeks. Actual availability has been as early as one week. Teachers will access their students’ scores using their TA accounts, via the via the Online Reporting System (ORS) button on the CAASPP Home page at http://www.caaspp.org/. CDE has asked districts to advise staff that student scores are to remain confidential until scores are released in August. While individual performance scores will not change, district and state-wide comparative data analytics, which are part of the student/family report, will not be available until the official release. This early look at student data is provided so that the full benefit of testing can be realized for teacher planning and collaboration.
Follow these steps to access your students’ scores:
1. Navigate to http://www.caaspp.org/ and click the Online Reporting System button:
2. Accept the Terms of Use for the Online Reporting System. 3. Click Score Reports.
4. Click the number of students on either ELA or Math
5. Under the green buttons, click the white Roster name button (typically your last name) 6. For a whole-class score report, simply click View without filters. 7. To view Claims and Target-level reports, use the filters on the popup before clicking View. 8. To export the data to an Excel worksheet, click Export in the upper right of the screen after data is displayed.
