THE BLUE VALLEY RANCH SCHOLARSHIP April 1, 2015 Deadline The Blue Valley Ranch Scholarship is a generous donation from the Blue Valley Ranch and is administered by the West Grand Community Educational Foundation. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistant to help West Grand High School graduates pursue a post-secondary education. Although all graduating seniors are eligible for this scholarship, this award is specifically designed to help those students who are in the most financial need. The award will be based on career goals, academic record, extracurricular activities, community service and financial need. Students may attend either a two or four year college or some type of technical preparation school. The West Grand Community Educational Foundation will award up to ten (10) $1,000 grants to eligible seniors. Funds for the grants will be made out to the institution of the recipient’s choice upon proof of enrollment. A committee, consisting of the High School Principal, classroom teacher, and two board members from the West Grand Community Educational Foundation will review all applications and make the final decision of the top ten applicants along with five alternates.

Application Procedures: (Please type or print neatly in black ink) Complete all parts of the application. An incomplete application may be eliminated from consideration. Student must be in good standing with the school district. Student must have at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average or letter of exemption from the high school principal. Student must present formal documentation stating they have been accepted and enrolled in a post-secondary school by graduation date. Student must successfully complete and submit attached application to the high school counselor on or before April 1, 2015. Submit two (2) letters of recommendation (excluding family members). One letter should be from faculty or other school personnel and the second one from an employer, clergy or other adult familiar with your work habits and personal traits. Submit one copy of your official high school transcript.
