New Elementary School Opens in Ranchester CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Delbert McOmie, Interim Director of the State Construction Department (SCD), has announced the opening of the new Tongue River Elementary School in Sheridan County School District #1, Ranchester. Designed by Plan One/Architects, the new Tongue River Elementary School will span 51,308 square feet and have the capacity to serve 365 students in grades K through 5. The school district will hold a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, August 26, 2016. Tongue River Elementary School received over $16 million in state funding, including money for planning, design and construction. “We are fortunate to live in a state where the governor and Legislature are so deeply committed to providing children with quality educational facilities,” McOmie noted. -end-
