FAMEE After School Valley View In 2008, Farmington was selected as a recipient of the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant to develop and implement an after school learning program for grades K-12. The creation of FAMEE (Farmington Adds More Educational Experiences) provides an after school program offering a variety of homework support, enrichment programs, as well as health and fitness activities. FAMEE programs encourage, support, and foster the development of our children academically, physically, and socially . Our intent is to provide a positive, safe, healthy, and enriching environment that will serve to inspire, motivate, challenge, and stimulate our children.

FAMEE is currently accepting ten Kindergarten students per day for Session II, November 13th-January 19th. Registration will be stopped once this number is met. After session II FAMEE will accept registrations again for session III at the beginning of January. FAMEE will NOT be held on days with no school or early dismissal. If program is canceled due to inclement weather or other situations, notification will be sent through the Alert Now! System.

Typical Day in FAMEE : Kindergarten

2:25 -Dismissal From School (all participating students go to the multipurpose room for sign-in, snack, and recess) (Due to allergies, participants will be provided with a snack, we ask no other food is out during this time)

3:15 - Homework Club 4:00-Daily Enrichment Activities 5:00 -Activities End, clean-up in Multipurpose Room 5:05- Bus Students Dismissed 5:00 - 5:30– Parent pick-up (Please park in the side parking lot to the right as you approach the school and sign out your child with a FAMEE representative through the side door of the multipurpose room.) The Beat Goes On! HW Club

Through sound, rhythm, and beats, students will increase their listening skills. Students will focus on incorporating lessons from the classroom in fun, rhythmic activities.
