TWRC Venue Hire FAQ 1) How much is the booking deposit? Venue hire deposit is 20% of the total cost, placed on confirmation of the booking. Assuming no damage has occurred this will be credited to you following the event

2) Can we provide our own food or do we would need to use specific caterers? We can recommend a selection of caterers familiar with the venue and the equipment available. Anyone preparing food on the premises must hold a Level 2 Award for Food Safety in Catering.

3) What is your Music and Noise Policy? All music must end at 23:00. Guests are asked to respect our neighbours and leave the island quietly.

4) What is included in the cost? The basic hire cost includes bar staff from 19:00 to 23:00, and room hire only.

5) Can we hire a band? Or play the IPod? Yes, our venue is fully equipped with a comprehensive sound system – Equipment List available

6) Are there disabled lifts and toilets in the premises? Yes we have a disabled lift (staff operated) and disabled toilet facilities on the first floor

7) Is there parking space available for our guests? There is no parking on the island. Paid parking is available along the embankment, free after 18:30 and on Sundays /Bank holidays. There are also some disabled-only bays.

8) What is the capacity of the venue? Our venue has capacity for 85 individuals (50 seated for formal dining)

9) What is your smoking policy? There is no smoking permitted on the club’s premises/grounds. Smoking is permitted outside the main gate. There will be a 5% fine should anyone be found smoking within the club premises/grounds

10) Can we provide our own drinks (alcohol)? No, We offer a wide range of beers, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks from our well-stocked bar.

11) Can our guests pay for their drinks using cards? Yes, we take all major debit/credit cards on a chip/pin terminal

12) What is your room decorating policy? Hirers are free to decorate the rooms as you wish. No damage or marks must be left on the walls, ceilings, beams etc. The cost of repairs/making good would be deducted from the deposit.

13) What are your cancelation charges? 

4 weeks or more before your event you will be fully refunded.

 

Between 2 and 4 weeks before your event you will be charged 70% of the fee Less than 2 weeks before your event you will be charged 80% of the fee

14) During the event will there be a Go-To person for the night? Yes, during planning and on the day there will be a club representative as your Go-To person

15) How will the venue be presented The Club Room will be offered as a bar with tables, chairs and casual sofas, or completely emptied.

16) Is the bar fully equipped? Yes, we offer a wide range of beers, lagers, ciders, wines and spirits with a selection of bar snacks.

17) How many tables would the venue fit? Our venue will accommodate 5-6 round tables seating ten per table.

18) Is there a local taxi company that our guests can use? Yes we do have a taxi company which we could recommend. Please ask your Go-To person on the night and he/she will provide you with the details.
