Terms and Conditions of Venue Hire Alcohol NO persons under the age of 18 are allowed to purchase or consume alcohol on the premises. NO BYO alcohol is to be brought onto the premises due to licensing regulations. Forfeit of part or all of the bond (at the discretion of the Management Committee) can result if this rule is breached. 2 Bar staff will be supplied for the function and is included in the $650 cost of hiring the hall. They will both hold their RSA (Responsible Service of alcohol certificates). The bar staff are available for a period of 5 hours including 30 minutes set up and 30 minutes for bar cleanup at close so serving is only 41⁄2 hours in duration (latest bar close allowable is 11.30pm). Additional hours of bar service may be arranged at a rate of $50 / 30 minutes / bar tender.
Music
All music shall cease at 11.30pm sharp.
(LIVE BANDS ONLY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT and must finish by 11:30pm). Access Access to the function room is available from 4pm on the day of hiring (unless approved beforehand by the management committee). The premises must be vacated by patrons at midnight! Cleanup may continue on until 12:30am. Otherwise, completed the next morning before 8.30am.
Cleaning
Hirers are expected to leave the premises clean and tidy, as specified in the Hire Cleaning Checklist below*. Excess cleaning fees will be charged if more than usual vacuuming and tidying is required to return the room to its original state. All personal items/decorations are expected to be removed when vacating the premises on the night. The club will not be held responsible for lost or damaged items if left on the premises.
Security
Hires with more than 50 people attending must employ a qualified security guard unless approved otherwise by the Management Committee.
Other
The hirer is responsible for the behavior of all persons attending the function and shall not permit or allow disorderly, disruptive or offensive behavior or behavior that interferes with other users enjoyment of the club or adjacent residents. 3
The hirer cannot assign, or sub-let the premises or any part thereof. The hirer is not permitted to charge an entry fee. The Management Committee expressly reserves the right to cancel any engagement already made and to close down any function, which may either present a safety problem or be in breach of licensing regulations and not to refund the deposit paid on account of rental if such an action is considered warranted. The Management Committee shall not be liable in any way for loss or damage or otherwise, in consequence of the exercise of this right. The Club does not cater for children’s parties, 18th or 21st parties.
Hirer Cleaning Checklist Note: * All cleaning to be completed no later than 8am day after evening hire otherwise a cleaning fee will apply. As a guide the cleaning fee will be $110 plus $110 per hour or part thereof. Formula applied:

All decorations, associated mounting debris, rubbish and food scraps to be removed from hall, outside areas & amenities. All rubbish to be sealed in garbage bags and placed in large garbage bins with red lids located in bin bay at bottom of external stairs. All cans, glass & cardboard to be removed from premises, sorted and placed in specific recycling bins located in bin bay at bottom of external stairs. Ensure BBQ gas source is turned off. BBQ & surrounding surfaces to be cleaned utilising cleaning materials provided and BBQ cover replaced. Amenities to be cleaned. All kitchen & BBQ utensils including BBQ kit to be thoroughly cleaned and returned to kitchen. Kitchenette to be cleaned: Dishes & cutlery washed and replaced to origin, surfaces wiped down, bin emptied, sink emptied & cleaned, & floor vacuumed. All food removed from fridges. All surfaces to be wiped down; benches and external bar, etc. All floors including landing area and stairs to be vacuumed. All furniture to be returned to original stacked position including excess furniture stored in gym returned upstairs and trestle tables replaced in external storage area garage. Inspection of premises to be completed by Mona Vale Surf Club caretaker or Committee Member to certify satisfactory clean state of hire area prior to deposit reimbursement.
