Lego League Robotics Project If we are going to have a team again this year, we will need to get organized quickly, but we need new leaders. Brody is willing to be a junior leader now that he is too old for the team, but we need 1-2 adult leaders. Youth who participate must be good at working with others, good listeners, and detail oriented. Please let Barb Jones know ASAP if youth or adults are interested. We have all the supplies and the club pays for the kit. The project meetings run from Aug- Oct, with a big district competition with schools and other groups usually in Mukwonago in Nov. Then there will be a small 4-H fair competition next spring, and demonstrations at the fair. Lego League is a team event (ages 9-14). Kids learn about robotics, computer programming, engineering, and teamwork. Each year has a theme for the competition, and this years theme is "Trash Trek" explore the hidden world of trash. The kids participate in team competition on the performance of their robot in completing assigned tasks on the lego table, as well as a presentation and project related to the theme of the year and a teamwork challenge. If you are interested- let us know ASAP. The official challenge is released on Aug 25th, and the team works fast and furious to get ready for competition. Team Meetings are held about once a week Aug-Nov. http://www.firstlegoleague.org/challenge/2015trashtrek
