Youth Basketball ~ will not take place next Sunday. All who usually come are welcome to come for breakfast at 8 am and help prepare for the new school year. Kids in Stitches ~ meets Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 9 - 1 at the church. Acts of the Apostles Study ~ continues Fridays at 6:30 pm at the church. Please read chapter 7 ahead of time if possible. Everyone is invited to this awesome study. Be reminded, there will be no childcare. Mother’s & Father’s Prayer Group ~ meets 1st Sabbath of the month, following the Church Service. Singspiration & Fellowship Meal ~ honoring the life of Janet Kuebler at the Standifer Gap SDA Church this afternoon, July 29th at 5pm. Apison Hour of Prayer (AHOPe) ~ join us as we seek the Holy Spirit for our lives, our church, the world church and government leaders. Sabbath mornings we meet in the Church Library at 8 am. (UPDATE) On Sunday mornings at 8:30 am join us by calling 712-775-7031 and use access code 682-097-212# LCA Annual Work Bee and Pancake Breakfast ~ will be tomorrow, July 30 beginning at 8 am. Please plan to come out and have breakfast at 7:30 am and then help to get the school in tip top shape. Older children are encouraged to come and help. Heaven's Bounty ~ The Southern Singles Ministry (a division of the Conf Church Ministries) is operating a food pantry in Apison and is in need of helpers in the following areas: • Putting food away in bins before the clients arrive (3-4 hour blocks) • Pick up/delivery from Food City (2 hrs, 1x a week, Sunday – Friday) Contact Linda Fore 423/322-7206 to help with this important ministry. THANK YOU ~ to those who have been donating books for the Hamilton County Jail Library. Nearly 1000 books have been received so far and the inmates have been checking them out regularly. Pray for God's continued blessing on this project that seeds will be planted and produce a harvest of souls for His kingdom.

Area Announcements Nominate a Servant Leader ~ SAU is seeking nominations for local servant leaders. Three people will be selected from the following categories: youth (age 16-24), community (e.g. retirees or a stay at home parent), and professional. These will be men and women who see the potential in others, invest in their futures, and encourage their successes. Southern will present awards to the recipients at the Honoring Servant Leaders President’s Gala on the university’s campus in October. Nominations can be made at southern.edu/gala and will close on July 31. Letting It Go, Grief Recovery Weekend ~ join David and Beverly Sedlacek for a weekend for anyone processing grief or loss at Cohutta Springs Conf. Center. Friday, Aug. 25, 7 pm - Sunday, Aug. 27, noon. Final Deadline is Aug. 7th. Chainsaws and Butter Knives Men’s Rally ~ Aug 26 from 6:30-10:00 pm @ Collegedale Community Church Join with us for a full evening of celebration, inspiration and perspiration at the second annual Chainsaws and Butter Knives Men's Rally. Whether you feel as sharp and powerful as a chainsaw or as weak and dull as a butter knife we need each other to get sharper... just as "Iron Sharpens Iron" Proverbs 27:17. This evening will be an out-of-the-box experience to say the least as you hear compelling testimonies, eat a hearty pancake supper, and join in lumberjack contest if you choose!
