September 2017 Year 13 Parents’ Evening Tuesday 19 September Dear Parent I would like to invite you and your son/daughter to the Year 13 Parents’ Evening on Tuesday 19 September beginning at 16:45 in the BGSB Hall, the Roger Kay Hall & Sixth Form Centre. Your son/daughter will be asked to arrange appointments of either 5 or 10 minutes for you with their teachers. In a change to the usual format, I will be addressing all parents and students at 16.45 in the main hall of Bury Grammar School Boys, doors will be open from 16:30, please will boys, girls and their parents report to the main BGSB office. I will be covering our strategy for Higher Education applications and our expectations of the Year 13 students. Following the presentation, the usual parents evening will commence at 17:15 in the following locations:
Boys – Sixth Form Common Rooms – Sixth Form Centre Girls – Roger Kay Hall
The Sixth Form Tutor teams will also be on hand to talk about your son/daughter’s progression and university aspirations during the evening. It may also be helpful to remind you that parking on Bridge Road is restricted and that any vehicle left on the yellow lines, on the verges or the Boys’ school side could expect a ticket. I look forward to greeting you and your son/daughter from 16:30 on 19 September and I will be available in The Arts Centre throughout the evening for parents of boys and girls.
