VelCut Flock – Application Instructions Heat Transfer Flock Material for Cutting Plotters Mirrored Cut
VelCut Flock is a high quality flock film specially formulated to maintain its soft-to-the-touch feel and its color fastness over extended washing cycles. VelCut provides by way of plotter cutting a dimensional / embroidered look at a much lower cost than embroidery. VelCut has a very high opacity while not giving up elasticity, as it stretches very well with the textile. VelCut uses a specially formulated adhesive liner / carrier which when cut properly, allows for excellent weeding of fine detailed graphics and small lettering.
VelCut Flock is suitable for cotton, polyester, and Weed Design blended textiles. It is not suitable for nylon or coated textiles.
After weeding, apply graphic to the textile and press using low pressure. Press for 15 – 17 sec. at 330 °F / 165°C. Then remove the carrier / transfer film using a warm or cold peel. VelCut is wash resistant up to 140°F / 60°C. Layering is possible, Flock on Flex only!
Blade: Relief angle 45° or 60° Blade pressure, 80 to 110 grams of down force. Test cuts recommended Cutting Speed: ≈20-40 cm/s Special Instructions: See blade depth instructions on reverse side.

Remove Liner
Ten (7) seconds per layer for SEF Flex films at medium to high pressure, with the flock layer pressing last using VelCut’s application settings for the final pressing. We do not recommend more than 4 layers.
Cutting Conditions:
Temperature: 330°F / 165°C Time: 15-17 sec. Pressure: low to eliminate crushing of the flock fibers Peel warm or cold
Cutting & Heat Pressing: See reverse side of document for proper cutting blade depth. Cut in mirror image, wrong reading. Always do a test cut before proceeding with production.

Store SEF Heat Transfer Materials in a cool and dry place; protect against the influence of light when stored. We recommend not to exceed a storage period of 24 months. Due to the variety of possible influences / exposure outside of our control, to include processing / use, all specifications should be viewed as reference values. We recommend a suitability test to the material before a production.
