OFFICIAL NOTICE: New Grading Scale for 2015-16 School Year Beginning this school year, 2015-16, the state board of education requires all school districts to implement a new grading scale. This new scale applies to middle schools and high schools, and changes the way letter grades are assigned and how grade point averages (GPAs) are calculated. It also changes the way 9th graders earn “quality points” for taking courses at a more rigorous level. Students in grades 10-12 will continue to earn quality points the same as in years past. Please take time to read the following information to better understand what these changes will mean for your student.
