Summer financial aid eligibility is based upon the number of credits you enrolled in Fall & Spring as well as how much financial aid you received for those semesters. To assist us in giving you the most accurate estimate of your eligibility, you need to: 1) Register for summer classes prior to completing this form. Your estimated award will be based on your current summer registration at the time of review. 2) Complete a Distance Education Verification form if you are taking classes from another campus. You are required to take at least 1 credit from Kaua‘i CC. (see DEV form for more instructions) 3) Summer tuition for most classes is higher and financial aid awards may not cover your full balance. Remember, you will have other costs such as books, fees and supplies. 4) If you were full time in both fall and spring, you should NOT be eligible for any grants. 5) If you received the yearly maximum loan limits, you will NOT be eligible for any student loans. If you are eligible for loans you will need to be enrolled in at least 6 credits during summer. Loans will be split into two separate disbursements. 6) No funds will be received by Kaua‘i CC until June 3rd at the earliest. Your spring 2016 grades will be reviewed prior to release of summer funds. 7) If you are placed on financial aid suspension, your summer financial aid will be cancelled. You will be responsible for either paying for tuition out of pocket, or withdrawing from your classes prior to the deadline to withdraw. After your class schedule is reviewed, your award amounts, disbursement dates and further information will be available to view in your MyUH Portal. An email notice will be sent to you via your UH email.
Please remember: If there is any change to your schedule, you must notify the financial aid office immediately or you may owe funds back to the school or become ineligible for financial aid. By signing below, you have read and understand your responsibilities for summer session financial aid.
