MASS   –   McCarthy  Family

16 th Sunday of the Year

How  do  I  request  a  Mass  Intention?

Mass   Envelopes   are   at   the   back   of   church   or   sacristy   to   fill   in   the   details   or   make   your   own   with   the   name,   family   or   event   you’d   like     to   offer   a   Mass   for   +   if   you   have   a   special   date   in   mind   (or   as   near   to)   and   if   the   person   is   alive   (Int)   or   deceased   (RIP)   +   a   contact.   The     Dioceses  recommended  offering  (parish  donation)  is  £10  a  Mass  or  whatever  is  affordable.

Information  a  bout  the  Sacraments   On   weekdays   &   Saturday   morning,   Mass    is   celebrated   in   the   Blessed   Cyprian   Tansi   Oratory   in  the  Presbytery  &  you  can  request  Confession  during  the  Holy  Hour.  Preparation  courses     for   baptism   &   reception   are   throughout   the   year   &   Reconciliation   +   Holy   Communion   begins  after  Christmas.  The  Bishop  celebrates  Confirmation  in  our  parish  every  other  year     &  Marriage  preparation  is  with  each  couple.

With our now raising over £43,000   for the Sick & Retired Priests Appeal, we haven’t got too far too go to make our target. If you’d like   to take a tiny collection box to put in tiny amounts, it would be much appreciated… you could use   it as a ‘Praise & Grumble’ box over the summer Pholidays?   …

Today  is  Sea  Sunday,  when  the   Church  prays  for  all  those  who  live  &   work  at  sea.  Without  them  we  would   not  have  most  of  the  items  we  buy  in   the  shops.  Today’s  retiring  collection  is   for  the  Apostleship  of  the  Sea  (AoS),   the  Church’s  official  maritime  welfare   agency.  It  supports  seafarers  both   practically  and  spiritually.  This  annual   collection  is  absolutely  vital  to  enable   it  to  continue  its  work,  so  please  give   generously  and  remember  seafarers  in   your  prayers.  Thank  you.  For  more   information  on  the  work  of  AoS  please   visit  www.apostleshipofthesea.org.uk
