ACTION​ ​TEAMS   

LEADERSHIP​ ​DAY​ ​ACTION​ ​TEAM 

Help​ ​with​ ​the​ ​planning​ ​and​ ​execution​ ​of​ ​our​ ​annual​ ​Leadership​ ​Day​ ​(this​ ​year​ ​it​ ​will​ ​be​ ​on  May​ ​19th).​ ​There​ ​are​ ​few​ ​meetings​ ​at​ ​the​ ​beginning​ ​of​ ​the​ ​year,​ ​and​ ​far​ ​more​ ​frequent  meetings​ ​as​ ​we​ ​get​ ​closer​ ​to​ ​the​ ​big​ ​day. 

  HOSPITALITY/SUNSHINE​ ​ACTION​ ​TEAM 

Provide​ ​tours​ ​to​ ​guests​ ​who​ ​visit​ ​Westgate.​ ​Help​ ​welcome​ ​new​ ​students​ ​to​ ​Westgate. 

  COMMUNICATION​ ​ACTION​ ​TEAM 

Deliver​ ​information​ ​to​ ​all​ ​students​ ​about​ ​upcoming​ ​events. 

  JOB​ ​BOARD​ ​ACTION​ T ​ EAM 

Identify​ ​needed​ ​leadership​ ​positions​ ​at​ ​Westgate,​ ​create​ ​an​ ​area​ ​to​ ​promote​ ​those​ ​jobs,  and​ ​promote​ ​jobs​ ​to​ ​students. 

 

TRADITIONS​ ​ACTION​ ​TEAM 

Help​ ​plan​ ​and​ ​participate​ ​in​ ​many​ ​common​ ​Westgate​ ​traditions,​ ​such​ ​as​ ​ABC​ ​Countdown,  Winter​ ​Wonderland​ ​Tea,​ ​and​ ​more! 

  WIGS/DATA​ ​ACTION​ ​TEAM 

Help​ ​determine​ ​our​ ​school​ ​wide​ ​goals,​ ​how​ ​to​ ​communicate​ ​the​ ​goal,​ ​tracking​ ​data​ ​and  timeline​ ​for​ ​the​ ​goal,​ ​and​ ​celebrating​ ​successes. 

  ENVIRONMENT/HABIT​ B ​ OOSTERS​ ​ACTION​ ​TEAM 

Create​ ​fun​ ​ways​ ​to​ ​share​ ​the​ ​habits​ ​on​ ​the​ ​morning​ ​announcements​ ​or​ ​an​ ​occasional​ ​video. 

  TECHNOLOGY​ ​TEAM 

Create​ ​content​ ​and​ ​maintain​ ​the​ ​student​ ​LIM​ ​website.​ ​Create​ ​Wednesday​ ​Wins​ ​videos.   

TECH​ ​PATROL  A​ ​group​ ​of​ ​students​ ​(Grades​ ​3​ ​-​ ​5),​ ​modelled​ ​after​ ​Safety​ ​Patrol,​ ​who​ ​would​ ​go  around​ ​the​ ​building​ ​at​ ​the​ ​end​ ​of​ ​each​ ​day​ ​to​ ​make​ ​sure​ ​that​ ​all​ ​carts​ ​are​ ​safely  stowed​ ​in​ ​classrooms​ ​and​ ​all​ ​devices​ ​are​ ​charging.
