• Manubrium sterninin arkasından ve 2.sternokostal eklem seviyesinden başlar • Th 4. vertebranın alt seviyesinde sonlanır • Arcus aortanın tümü üst mediastinumda yer alır • Th 4. vertebradan sonra torakal aorta olarak devam eder
