2016 Forum for Young Albertans April 17 – 23, 2016 Wow! Has the political landscape ever changed! Recent provincial and federal elections witnessed an increased participation from youth all across the country. More than ever before, young people are engaged and participating in these exciting political times. There has never been a better time for students to experience the Forum for Young Albertans and form new networks with like-minded peers from across Alberta! For over 30 years, the Forum for Young Albertans has offered a week-long program which introduces high school students to the dynamics of municipal and provincial levels of government. Each day is composed of classes, organized sessions, tours and workshops in Edmonton. We would be pleased to have students from your school participate in Forum 2016. There will be one session this year which will run from April 17 – 23, 2016 and will take place in Edmonton. The Forum for Young Albertans is open to all high school students regardless of their financial circumstances. We like to see students make every effort to raise their own tuition and funds for related expenses; however, the Forum has established a subsidy program for students who require financial assistance. An application form is available by contacting our office. We hope that with your assistance, interested students can be found to attend the Forum from your school. The registration price to attend the week-long program is only $375. Please find enclosed Forum information material and application forms. Application forms with the $75.00 application fee must be postmarked by March 25, 2016.
